Introducing Jay Peterson

I’m a Senior Designer at a web design and development company in Urbandale, Iowa. Since I joined the team in 2006, I have worked on a wide variety of projects with an even broader client base. I’ve worked with law firms, packaging suppliers, utility experts, doggie daycares, livestock farmers, home builders, and everything in between. With this comes a diverse assortment of personalities and I revel in the challenge of working to create something that best fits my clients’ needs.

A lot of my free time is spent dancing. Yes, you read that correctly! My dance career started when I was a kid and I’ve been passionate about it ever since. In 1999, I moved from western Iowa to the Des Moines area to take a position as the Director of Dance Education for the Norwalk Superstars and purchased the studio with two partners in 2011, later adding our sister studio in Grimes. Although I closed this chapter of my life in 2021, I continue to work with numerous high school and collegiate dance teams and studios across Iowa, and also travel the country judging national dance competitions. The relationships I’ve built over the years with the kids, families, and other dance professionals I work with are so rewarding.

When I’m not designing, developing, or dancing, I’m enjoying time with my family. My wife, sons, and I enjoy traveling, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, and just spending quality time together (which is getting harder with the kids’ busy schedules).
